Red Line Theatre Company are now on tour with The Opposite Sex by David Tristram and will be performing this hilarious comedy at Strode Theatre on Saturday 24th September at 8pm.

Red Line was created by local director, actor and producer Peter Wintle, to raise money for Strode Theatre and other arts organisations.

The Opposite Sex is an adult comedy set in the 80's and performed with a cast of four; Olwyn Herridge plays Vicky, long suffering wife of Mark, played by Peter Wintle, while Doreen Grant plays Judith, spouse to anarchic Eric, played by John McGrowther. The play is directed by Neil Howiantz, well known for his appearances with amdram company Street Theatre and formerly of the Glastonbury Music Shop.

'Mark and Vicky have a normal sort of marriage, really. There's the occasional bout of verbal sparring, the odd plate that gets thrown..... But things start to get rather interesting with an innocent visit from Judith, the Avon lady. And when her husband Eric also appears on the scene it becomes clear that they all have one rather interesting thing in common. When they find out what it is, all hell's going to break loose! '

All profits from the Strode performance will go towards funding Strode Theatre, which took a massive £57K cut to their local authority arts funding from Somerset County Council and Mendip District Council.

Come and see this great comedy and help support your local arts venue - tickets are £10 and can be purchased by visiting the Strode Theatre website: www.strodetheatre.co.uk or by phoning the box office on 01458 442846
