Toilets in the park

Some friends came down from Wales yesterday and we went to the park. It was great. At 16.15 a hi-viz man came and locked the toilets. This does seem very early. What are the hours and can they be varied in the summer holidays?

Back when the toilets were new (there was a grotty old thing there before) they were left open, and vandalized regularly. Then Fred and Roy and Daniel would open them during daylight hours, meaning about 9pm close in summer. They used to all sorts that was above and beyond the call of duty (youd never see mess on bank holidays because they knew it would be busy, and worked every day apart from Christmas Day) but it all seems a bit rigid these days - doing a job rather than a labor of love, which is totally understandable and not a criticism (just nostalgia really).

Looking at the state of the signs and the poems on stones Ive concluded that the only solution is soap and water (boom boom) and when I eventually get some time, I'm just going to clean them myself.

Doesn't answer the question about toilets though. Is there a park committee these days?
