I have now had a few really good lunches at Goodfellows. I wouldn't say it was even expensive but its definitely worth paying for. For me the only thing worst than the rough cafes at the bottom of town would be somewhere that felt a bit too posh and I was worried Goodfellows might. It doesnt and it actually seems to benefit from being part of the Haskins shop as it makes it feel that bit more relaxed. Like Ed has put, highly recommended for any sort of occasion.

I had the pleasure of trying Goodfellows last weekend and I was most impressed. The fish was cooked and served perfectly. A plain omlette with chips was the other order and the quality was simply fantastic, although the portion far too big for my 9 yr old. I didn't see a children's menu but there were plenty of lighter choices available.
The deserts on offer looked amazing and there was nothing suggesting that anything food wise was less than fine restaurant quality. This might not be for everyone or every occasion and the thing that made me happiest eating there for the first time is that I feel it has definitely added something to Shepton and wouldn't stop me using any other cafe in the town when the mood takes me. Brilliant and recommended!
