A Vauxhall Corsa has been stolen from a driveway in Home Fields, in Shepton Mallet. On the night of the 17th-18th January the car, which was fully secured, was broken into and taken away.

Some time between 8th and the 20th January thieves broke into a metal shed in Finch Close, Shepton Mallet.  Having forced their way into the shed, which is in the garden of a domestic property, thieves got away with a number of items including mowers, hedge trimmers and a strimmer.

A 22 year old man from Shepton Mallet received an official cannabis warning after being found in possession of the drug at Townsend Retail Park on the 20th January.

Around 14:30 on the 21st January, a handbag was stolen from a customer at the Shepton Mallet Townsend Tesco store.  The victim put her bag down beside her for a moment while she was paying when the bag was snatched away.

    I heard today that there's been a spate of thefts of Vauxhall Corsas in this area in the past couple of weeks - something like a total of 9 of them have been taken from Shepton, Frome, Bruton etc.
