There are so many creatives in this town. Was in the Bell recently and was talking music, and one guy got chatting to us and had designed a few album covers. Another guy was in a band doing a mishmash of music styles and another bloke was making music at home and working on a sitcom for radio. Good old random Shepton eh?!

There's also an internationally published author, a multi-credited Hollywood and UK feature film producer, and a couple of other accomplished filmmakers in the town. A Shepton Mallet Media Hub? - well we really could do with fast broadband to make that a possibility. In Mendip area, we lag way behind in provision of fast cheap broadband and lack good mobile mast cover... It's something I intend to question and push for within Mendip District Council.
