There was a motor cycle collision at around 7:10pm last night (Tues 28th)outside Shepton Mallet Leisure Centre. The female biker was airlifted to hospital. She was released sometime before midnight with no broken bones or serious injuries. Well done to everyone who reacted swiftly, sensibly and with compassion.

I know the biker concerned; sounds like she is lucky still to be here. It was an act of God - he misunderstood what she wanted when she said she wished to swap her motorbike for a chopper.

Thanks for posting this Missus_R. I was out of Town and @Fieldmouse tweeted about the emergency services racing through Croscombe, and then some other followers filled in the details. I don't know who the girl was but I sure hope she is ok.
