Charlton Hotel Charity do tonight with slebs from Dragon's Den in attendance

I hope that an intrepid reporter and photographer from Shepton Mallet People is on the case this evening to get some candid snaps and a juicy story from the Charlton House Hotel.

Peter Jones looking most charitable.
An event in support of Childline organised by local dragon Deborah Meaden is currently in full flow and I hear that fellow dragons Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones are also in attendance. Heck they've Evan (sic) dragged Dragon Den presenter Mr. Davis along for the night. Alas no James Caan.
A little bird tells me that Peter Jones (who is probably wearing a fresh pair of size 16 stripey socks for the occasion) is surprisingly impressed by the quality of the food and thoroughly enjoyed the lobster terrine that was the starter, although he's glad that Duncan Ballantyne doesn't have a hand in preparing it.
Pete's also enjoyed a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday from a Marilyn Monroe lookalike (although it is not actually his birthday until 18th March). Still I guess you know all this already and we'll see a full report tomorrow.

Alas my invitation must have got lost in the post, or at least somewhere between the pen and the invitation. Thanks for keeping us informed - shame I missed out on that lobster though ;)
