Don't miss this spectacular production from one of the area's best local
drama companies. Award winning amateur company Street Theatre perform
Tennessee Williams's steamy and shocking landmark drama. Director Karen
Trevis brings an outstanding cast to Strode with performances starting
next Thursday 24th.
Recreated as the immortal film starring Marlon Brando, this is
one of the most influential plays of the twentieth century and tells of
fading Southern belle Blanche Dubois who uinexpectedly appears at her
sister's house in downtown New Orleans. With delusions of grandeur,
Blanche stands in stark contrast to her brutish brother-in-law Stanley.
His determination to reveal her secrets lead her to withdraw further
from reality into a world of illusions.
This performance is presented by special arrangement with The University of the South, Sewannee, Tennessee, USA.
The play runs from Thursday March 24th - Saturday March 26th at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £11.00 (concessions £10.00) and can be booked by
phone Strode Theatre Box Office on 01458 442846 or on-line by visiting
