Penny's sweets is just brilliant. You can get all those sweets you had forgotten you loved when you were at school. Penny's Sweets makes me want to finish work at 3.15 and walk to it with a pocket full of small change. What didnt occur to me until I was in there browsing, was that you can get retro sweet packs made up as gifts or for weddings or whatever. I wish Id thought of that at Christmas! Comes with the highest recommendation possible. Remember though kids, brush your teeth :-D

Shepton's great old 'grubber' - a 'Must Visit' shop!
This shop reminds me of the 'Grubber' described in Roald Dahl's 'The Giraffe and The Pelly and Me' (which our eldest listened to on cassette every night for about two years).
All your old favorite sweets can be bought here. You just take the jar to the desk and 'say when'. The sweets are nicely presented, there is a really good selection (including sugar free ones) and the prices are certainly lower than the pick and mix prices we resentfully pay in motorway services and cinemas.
